WE WON! Mixed Martial Cards takes Demo Day!

WE WON! On 16 October we pitched Mixed Martial Cards at the Finndie Forge Demo Day Competition in Lahti, and walked out with the win. We are over the moon!

Demo Day is a showcase for Finnish indie games, organised by Finndie Forge at StartHub Lahti. Ten teams pitched in two sessions, three minutes each, with a networking break in between. We went fourth. The jury had tested the demos in advance, with plenty of time, and judged on commercial potential, technical execution and quality, and uniqueness.

The jury was three unbiased, seasoned game industry experts. They picked us for uniqueness, and a strong belief that Mixed Martial Cards would bring something completely new into the large market of card games. Playing the demo felt truly thrilling and exciting, they said, and they were sure there are players looking for exactly this kind of feeling from games.

It was great sharing the stage with the other teams, including but not limited to Supinaa: Rogue Sapling, Wordlike and Liminal Trauma. Go check them out!
